Are you missing your librarian and other kidlit friends? Did a conference you hoped to see each other at get canceled? Have you missed coffee or cocktails with your like-minded colleagues?
Here is an opportunity to gather those friends to play a lighthearted game of online children’s literature trivia.
Turning the Page: Children’s Literature Trivia Night
October 21, 2020 @ 7:00PM — 9:00PM EST
Build a Team & Support Immigrant Welcoming Work
Price reduced! The whole team can now play for just $50. Less than $10 each!
In an evening hosted by two-time Caldecott Honoree Melissa Sweet and NYT bestselling author David Elliott (who together brought you the picture book Baabwaa and Wooliam), 20 teams of children’s literature lovers will compete on Zoom. Build a team of 2-6 friends to spend time together while David Elliott tests your knowledge and Melissa Sweet offers a piece of original art for each of the winning team members!
DISCOVER HOW YOU CAN BUILD A TEAM
The night will benefit I’m Your Neighbor Books. The project invites you to find children’s books that represent immigrant through 2nd generation communities to build a collection that reflects your community. They also sponsor the Welcoming Library, a touring collection of picture books and discussion materials designed to build conversations on immigration, welcoming, and belonging.
